Family Law Toolkit

This training, developed by the Legal Aid Board, aims to help solicitors guide family law clients to the most suitable resolution process for them (with a focus on separating couples and family mediation). The one hour video provides a comprehensive overview of mediation in family law cases and how mediation works in practice. The training was recorded in autumn 2025.

CPD: 0.5 general and 0.5 client care and professional standards, total 1 hour (by elearning)

This training aims to provide information, enhance awareness and build understanding among different professionals who are working within the family justice system about domestic violence, abuse and coercive control. The training has been developed by the Legal Aid Board, in conjunction with  representatives from An Garda Síochána and Barnardos. Completion of the training entitles you to 0.5 hours CPD Client Care and Professional Standards by elearning.
